International Society for Human Rights Azerbaijan National Section Public Union

Azerbaijan National Section of International Society for Human Rights was created on 23th December, 1992 in Azerbaijan Republic. It passed the state registration on 3rd February.

Azerbaijan National Section of International Society for Human Rights considers the protection, development and implementation of all human rights enshrined in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, development of  democracy in Azerbaijan and assistance in civil society building as its main purposes. NGO’s main field of activity is the protection of human rights.

International partners of ISHR ANS are more than 40 sections of ISHR operating in America, Asia, Africa, Australia and European states. Activities of ISHR structure are coordinated by International Secretariat situated in Frankfurt.

Since 1993 till today dozens of projects were implemented  by ISHR ANS.  The scope of these projects mainly covered human rights, democracy and experience exchange regarding human rights protection in other states.

Below are the recently impelemented projects:

“Raising awareness on social rights”;

“Propaganda among the population of the Law of Azerbaijan Republic «On compulsory types of insurance”;

“Enlighten citizens about the necessity knowledge on labor agreement and develop skills on electronic services provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection”

“Law on citizen’s applications” such as protection of human rights.

Saadat Bananyarly

Saadat Bananyarly joined Open Government Platform in September 2016.  Saadat Bananyarly is the chairwoman of the Azerbaijan National Group of the International Society for Human Rights since 1993. She implemented and conducted projects on human right issues as projects coordinator/expert/manager. Mrs. Bananyarly is the member of Monitoring Group of Human Rights Organizations and the Public Committee near the Ministry of

Justice on Penitentiary Service Control. She is also an expert of PACE organization.

Saadat Bananyarly graduated from Post-graduate course from Academy of Sciences of USSR and holds Bachelor’s degree from Pedagogical Institute, Department of Chemistry.
