Fund of Struggle against Corruption

Fund of Struggle against Corruption was instituted on February 1, 2004. It is aimed at carrying out of researches in a corruption sphere and bringing of them to the society’s attention. The Fund of Struggle against Corruption is a non-governmental organization, which was established to carry out decisive struggle against corruption, also to provide close participation of the public in this struggle and arouse public opinion in order to remove this problem hindering legal education and social development. To reach the assumed aims, to reveal real corruption state in Azerbaijan the Fund of Struggle against Corruption holds numerous events, polls and researches.
By taking this important step, the Fund relies on creative potential of our nation and accepts faithfulness and frankness as a way of struggle. The Fund is not satisfied only with the description of situation, but it also joins efforts in struggle against this evil, tries to restrict various corruption cases and creates condition for each person to express his/her attitude towards this problem.

Namik Akhundov

Namik Akhundov was born in 1940 in Lankaran. He has graduated from institute of Oil and Chemistry. Since 1962 worked in the youth organization of Azerbaijan. In 1964 has been elected as a vice-chairman of committee of the youth organizations of Azerbaijan, and in 1967 has been elected as a chairman of this committee. Since 1969 has been worked at the council of ministers. In 1982 has been appointed the assistant manager of the international department of Central Committee of Communist Party of Azerbaijan. In 1985 has been appointed as a manager of this department.

In 1985 Namik Ahundov was elected the deputy of the Supreme Soviet of Azerbaijan and the vice-president of the commission on the international affairs of parliament of the Azerbaijan Republic. In 1982 Namik Ahundov acted in The Academy of Social Sciences (Moscow), and in 3 years graduates with the diploma of excellence. In 1987 at the same Academy protects the master’s thesis, and in 1991 at the Russian Academy of Administration has successfully protected the thesis for a doctor’s degree on a theme “The Role of national diplomacy in the modern international relations”.
Since 1992 is chief of international department of parliament of Azerbaijan. In January 1997 submits to resignation from the post. Currently is the professor of faculty of the international relations of Academy of the Public Administration.
Is honorable citizen of Baton rouge and New Orleans (USA).
