On November 11, in Georgia “Open Government Action Plan 2016-2017” was approved. The Plan was presented by Minister of Justice Tea Chulukiani.

Action Plan envisages 24 commitments and as executive agencies 24 state institutions and municipalities have been identified. One of the most important innovations in the development of the Action Plan is involvement of the municipalities. In Action Plan it is planned to develop a mobile application on the public services. The mobile application will be an alternative to the “112”. After launching the mobile app, it will help to determine the location of the people as soon as possible faced with an accident.

The creation of the mechanisms for citizen participation in supervision public funds (Public Audit), electronic innovations in public procurement, monitoring system for income declaration of officials are among the commitments.
