UK will pay for the establishment of the “Open Government” in 3 CIS countries

The Department for International Development of the UK will provide £100 million to launch “Open Government” in Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Serbia and Bosnia. These funds will also be used for implementation measures to combat corruption in those countries.

It was mentioned in the security strategy report of the British government.

According to the Prime Minister’s administration of the UK, The Good Governance Fund will provide £60 million in total for the 2015-2017 and 2017-2018 fiscal years. For 2018-2019 fiscal years, it has been considered to provide £40 million.

It was reported that targeted assistance will help these countries make necessary reforms to strengthen their economies, fight corruption and deliver a better service to their people.
