Journalists Specialized on Military Themes Public Union

Journalists Specialized on Military Themes Public Union (JSMT PU) has passed state registration on February 6, 2015. The founders are Tamkhil Hajıyev and Hasan Mammadov. The primary sphere of the activity of the Union includes realizing measures against the cases threatening the information security of the society by supporting professional journalists and experts, to educate  new generation in the spirit of patriotism, to render informational support for establishment of the army, propaganda of national-moral values, protection of legal rights of the disabled people, veterans, martyrs families and soldiers in reserve.

Tamkhil Hajiyev

Tamkhil Hajiyev joined Open Government Platform in September 2016. He is currently works as editor-in-chief at the Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting Co. He was awarded with honorary diploma of Ministry of Defense for achievements on military-patriotic upbringing of personnel of Military Forces and was the winner of the competition “The motherland begins from the border” on the cinema art. He was awarded with KHVTİC medal and is a member of the Republican Council of this organization. In 2008, he founded the “Butov Azerbaijan” newspaper and he is editor-in-chief of the newspaper. Mr. Hajiyev was awarded with the diplomas of KİVDDF and Azerbaijan Media Council for winning several competitions for his correspondence activities. He also organized Union of journalists specialized on military journalism (Union of Military journalists), which gathered specialized journalists and experts together.

Since 1996, he has hold position of chief editor at “Khabarlar” news program and was the author of the “Zireh” and “Hunar meydani” broadcasts. Prior to it, he was invited to work as Parliament correspondent at “Respublika” newspaper and after 3 years, he continued his career at the State Teleradio Broadcasting Company. He started his career at “Soviet Kandi” newspaper, where he worked as editor, journalist and head of the department.

Mr. Hajiyev holds BA from Baku State University in Journalism.
