Entrepreneurship Development Foundation
Entrepreneurship Development Foundation was established in 1994. The mission of the organization is to assist in gradual improvement of the entrepreneurship, environment and conducting reforms in connection with transition to a market economy. Founders of the Foundation are 12 private companies and banks. The main activities of the Foundation include developing proposals aimed at improving the entrepreneurship environment, education, consultative aid to the beginning entrepreneurs. They hold conferences, round tables, seminars and conducting researches on the development of entrepreneurship.

Sabit Bagirov
Sabit Bagirov joined Open Government Platform in September 2016. He is founder and board of Transparency Azerbaijan. Also, he is founder and member of Council of NGO Coalition EITI-Azerbaijan. Mr. Bagirov was a consultant of World Bank on Azerbaijan energy projects from 1998 to 2004. He was also consultant for several private companies on Caspian Energy projects between 1998 and 2003. Mr. Bagirov is the president of the Entrepreneurship Development Foundation since 1995 and the president of the Center for Economic and Political Research since 1994. He was head of the department of the supreme attestation commission under the Auspices of the president of Azerbaijan in 1993-1994. Prior to it, Mr. Bagirov worked as a president of SOCAR in 1992-1993. During the same years, he was the State Adviser for Azerbaijani President for Strategic Programs.
He holds PhD from USSR Academy of Sciences at the Institute of the Problems of Management. He holds post graduate and Bachelor’s degree from Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry (now the Oil Academy).
